- Because a=b, thats pretty obvious. So a^2 equals ab and a+b= 2a. Thats all correct. He divided the final step by a on both sides instead of making an inequality.

- (a^2)-(b^2) cannot give ab-b^2, even if the a and b are same number. (a^2)-(b^2)=(a-b)*(a+b).
